Living in Knoxville, TN only added to the stress, as sourcing experienced vendors was a challenge. One of my biggest concerns was finding someone who could truly help me get dressed and ready for each event.

Before my wedding, I had attended only two Indian weddings, so I knew mine would be a very different experience as a Caucasian, Southern Baptist, 33-year-old Southern girl. Early on, I shared with Rita that I felt indecisive about my wedding vision because I wasn't very familiar with Indian wedding customs or current trends. She showed incredible kindness and patience, taking the time to thoroughly explain the processes and cultural expectations. Rita asked thoughtful questions about my likes, dislikes, and personal style. Her warm, personable nature helped me gain confidence and trust in the process, allowing my once-uncertain vision to grow into something truly meaningful and beautiful.

My mother was very unfamiliar with Indian culture, and naturally had some uncertainty. Rita took the time to gently walk her through the traditions and reassure her that our family would feel welcomed and truly enjoy the experience. Working with Rita was one of the best decisions I made when it came to my wedding. Before my mom and I went to India for wedding shopping we had multiple calls with Rita about different styles of outfits, blouses, dupatta pleating, etc. She even sent me some Pinterest inspiration on some blouse styles that she thought would suit me based on my height and style. This was very helpful since as soon as I had my wedding outfit picked out, I was easily able to narrow down blouse styles because of Rita's inspiration pictures she had sent to me beforehand.

After we came back from India with all of our outfits, she did such a wonderful job suggesting what dupatta styles would look good for both me and my mom. She even took the time to sew on a comb in my veil so it was easier for my hair and makeup artists to place it on my head the morning of the wedding. She also did a great job helping us decide our jewelry and accessory pieces ahead of time which was a huge relief to get a second opinion on all of that.

The weekend of the wedding she was a huge help to both me and my mom when it came to our draping and styling. She even went above and beyond and helped to drape my bridesmaids as well. During each event she would do a great job to come by and see if my mom and I needed anything during hair and makeup and while she was there she was a great person to ask for a second opinion on our look before we went to her for draping.

 

She did a wonderful job making sure our outfits were laid out with jewelry and she helped to assure we were ready on time and even helped to put on jewelry. Working with Rita was the best decision when it came to my wedding and she made both my mom and I feel less stressed as soon as we spoke to her. It was so rewarding to watching you work your magic while you prepared Jamie for her big day. Your expert advice and recommendations really helped Jamie visualize how your draping would unfold when you first spoke to her about her outfit and how you would pull all the various components of her outfit together. Planning out the day in advance with you was very important and it helped to ensure the necessary purchases had been made from the correct underwear which complemented the cut of the dress to the placement of the dupatta. You had considered all eventualities and came to the venue equipped with the relevant body tape, pins and thread to address any last minute alterations.
